Do you organise sightseeing?
Most of the popular tourist locations are best explored by you. We will be happy to assist or arrange for sightseeing or vehicles on prior request.

What are the check-in and check-out timings
Check-in: 11am Check-out: 12pm If it’s an unseen circumstance we’d definitely oblige of course keeping in mind other guests needs.

Do you allow pets?
Not at the moment. However, we are planning to start allowing pets based on demand. Also if given prior notice we could oblige based on feasibility.

Is the pool available to the guests?
Yes, pool is available to all our guests between 9.30AM and 6:00PM.
If we are coming by bus, do you arrange for a pick-up?
Yes, we can arrange for a pick-up at an additional charge from the highway or Madikeri or Suntikoppa towns. Please let us know if you need a pick-up while you book.

Are the rates negotiable?
We feel the rates are well worth the price and much more.

Should we pay in advance?
Yes. We confirm reservations only on full payment in advance.

Bank account details for online transfer. Do you provide those?
Yes, after an enquiry and a confirmation over the phone/email.

Can we book the ‘ Kedakal ‘ through any other website/agents?
Rooms at the Kedakal can be booked only directly through the phone numbers/email given in the ‘ contact us ‘ section on our website.
Reservations made through any other source is not valid and will not be honoured.

What Should I carry?
Warm clothing /walking shoes/umbrellas/swim wear(if you intend to use swimming pool) and rain gear (During the rainy seasons) and last but not the least camera.

If we need to cancel the reservation?
10% of tariff for cancellation prior to two weeks before check-in date (Not inclusive of the check-in date)
50% of tariff for cancellation less than two weeks and prior to two working days before check-in date (not inclusive of the check-in date)
No refund for cancellation less than two working days before check-in date (not inclusive of the check-in date)

Is Coorg a hill station?
Coorg is a district of Karnataka state. The lowest elevation in Coorg is 900 meters above sea level. Temperature in Coorg averages 20° with the maximum being around 34° in the months of April, May. Madikeri, which is the head quarters of the district is a popular hill station. In general, Coorg district is heavily forested which makes stay here in any season very pleasant.

How long should be our trip to Coorg?
The most common duration of a Coorg trip is 2 – 3days. (This is because a large proportion of the tourists to Coorg are from Bangalore who come for the weekend). A good travel plan would be 4 days to cover Coorg.

What is the best time to visit Coorg?
Coorg has a pleasant climate throughout the year, the best time to visit Coorg depends on what activities you would like do. Rain in Coorg lasts from June to August, during this time the vegetation is lush green, the streams and waterfalls are full. This is the time to go rafting. Trekking and camping is done on the drier months of year.

What can I shop in Coorg?
Coorg has the finest coffee estates in India. So take home some good Coorg coffee. Other things you can buy here are honey, cardamom, pepper (black and white) and Coorg oranges (seasonal). There are a lot of shops in Madikeri exclusively selling these items.
If you happen to visit Golden temple at Kushalnagar, you can buy some tibetan items at bargain prices in the nearby shopping center

How do I get to Kedakal?
Coorg is easily accessible by road. There is no railway station in Coorg. Nearest railway station is in Mysore. Nearest airport is situated in Mangalore.

By bus
For those who prefer to take public transport, buses are an option. There are plenty of KSRTC Airavat services available for a comfortable ride. Please visit KSRTC website for bus timings.

Driving directions
From Hyderabad/Chennai/Bangalore/Mysore
The most common route taken by tourists from Chennai or Hyderabad is via Bangalore.

From Bangalore the route is:
Bangalore – Ramanagaram – Mandya – Srirangapatna – Mysore (Take ring road to Right) – Hunsur – Periapatna – Kushalnagar – Suntikoppa .
Drive past Suntikoppa town for about 5 Kms towards Madikeri. Take the first left from the national highway after you see the sign board for Forest Flower. Drive for close to 400 mts and you will find our gate to your left. Once you enter the gate, path on the left to reach Kedakal.

Total distance from Bangalore: 250 Kms (Approximately 5 to 6 hours)
If needed, entering Mysore can avoided by using the by-pass at Srirangapatna, which goes past the Ranganthitu Bird Scantuary and a town called Yelawal (filling station available here). Please be aware that this road is not in great condition.
